These Terms & Conditions govern use of rmfps.ca and related interactions with Rocky Mountain Fire Protection Services Ltd. (“RMFPS”). By using this website, you agree to these terms.
Website content is general information only. It is not emergency advice, legal advice, engineering advice, an inspection by an authority having jurisdiction, a certification of code compliance, or a guarantee that a property will survive a fire or wildfire event. If there is an immediate danger or active emergency, leave the area and call 911 or the appropriate emergency authority.
Submitting a form, requesting a quote, or booking an introductory call does not by itself create a professional engagement. Scope, fees, schedule, deliverables, assumptions, limitations, and client responsibilities will be set out in an accepted quote, proposal, booking confirmation, or written service agreement.
Services, Scope and Client Responsibilities
RMFPS provides independent fire-prevention, risk, preparedness, and FireSmart-aligned consulting within the agreed scope. Recommendations are based on conditions reasonably observable or information available at the time of service. Conditions can change, concealed conditions may exist, and risk cannot be eliminated.
Unless expressly stated in a written agreement and supported by the required authority or qualification, RMFPS services are not municipal inspections, engineering services, insurer approvals, FireSmart certification, or guarantees of code compliance, insurance eligibility, premium reductions, emergency response, or fire or wildfire outcomes. Clients remain responsible for property decisions, maintenance, implementation, permits, specialist advice, and compliance with applicable laws and authority requirements.
Website prices are starting prices or general information unless clearly stated otherwise. Final fees may vary with travel, location, property size, number of structures, complexity, and scope. A written service agreement governs if it conflicts with these website terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Intellectual Property, Liability and Contact
Website text, branding, graphics, photographs, report formats, assessment methods, training materials, templates, and other content are owned by or licensed to RMFPS unless otherwise stated. Client reports, controlled forms, templates, and deliverables may be used only as permitted by the applicable service agreement and may not be republished, resold, or altered to misrepresent RMFPS findings.
Third-party links and services are governed by their providers. To the extent permitted by law, this website is provided on an “as available” basis, and RMFPS is not responsible for decisions made solely from general website content or for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from website use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
